Toys made from 100% natural rubber. Latex from the Hevea tree was first used in 1928 in the vulcanisation process developed by Charles Goodyear.

The rubber used by Vulli comes exclusively from Hevea trees grown in Malaysia. Every morning, before the heat of the day sets in, the milky liquid that flows from the cells beneath the bark is collected from millions of rubber trees. This liquid is known as latex.

This natural latex is soft, flexible, waterproof and insulating, and is also pleasant because of its distinctive scent and texture.

To create the little wonder that is Sophie la girafe, Vulli first heats the latex using a special process that includes the rotomoulding technique, followed by 14 manual production steps.
